The aging electrical substations of Saigon

One of the overlooked influences of French colonialism in Vietnam lies in the capital city Saigon’s electrical infrastructure. Though France withdrew in the 1950s, many of the colonial-era substations built by the French company Compagnie des Eaux et Électricité are still operational today.
