Watch how algorithms can be designed to train themselves and self-improve without human input, to the point where the optimized code is too complex for programmers to understand.

Additional insights we found via CGP Grey
Initially, an algorithm is designed to complete a specific task, and how well it is completed can be quantified.
The system then slightly adjusts the algorithm, has it complete the previous task, and keeps whichever algorithm scored better.
Repeating this optimizes the algorithm over time without requiring a programmer to manually alter it themselves.
By refining the goal with additional, more specific information, such as data on which videos people spend the most time watching online, the algorithm can be indefinitely and autonomously improved and adjusted in real time.
