The Army said that the role of these executives in Detachment 201, also known as the Executive Innovation Corps, is to inspire other tech executives to consider how their work can support the US Army—without leaving their careers.
Palantir is a data analytics company that develops software created to make sense of large, complex datasets. Its cofounder and CEO Alex Karp has argued that Silicon Valley has a moral debt to the US military in his political commentary, including a 2026 book and manifesto.
