King was a massive fan of the punk band and invited them to his home in Bangor, Maine, while they were on tour in New England.
While hanging out in the writer's basement, a makeshift museum of horror memorabilia, Dee Dee Ramone, the band's bassist, stole away with a copy of King's "Pet Sematary" and quickly dashed off a song about it.
Shooting for the book's film adaptation began a month later, and King petitioned for the song to appear in the movie's end credits.
