Additional insights we found via VICE

  1. King was a massive fan of the punk band and invited them to his home in Bangor, Maine, while they were on tour in New England.

  2. While hanging out in the writer's basement, a makeshift museum of horror memorabilia, Dee Dee Ramone, the band's bassist, stole away with a copy of King's "Pet Sematary" and quickly dashed off a song about it.

  3. Shooting for the book's film adaptation began a month later, and King petitioned for the song to appear in the movie's end credits.
