The puppeteer, known for his work with The Muppets and on "Sesame Street," brought together "Star Wars" director George Lucas, Monty Python's Terry Jones, and musician David Bowie for what he envisioned as a fantasy blockbuster.
Rather than assigning one puppeteer per puppet, Henson assigned up to nine puppeteers per puppet, allowing the characters to move more naturally.
"Labyrinth" recouped only half of its $25M budget and was quickly pulled from theaters.
