Track the location of the Voyager probes, currently between 13 and 15 billion miles away from Earth.
Findings
Additional insights we found via NASA
Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 were launched by NASA in 1977 to study the outer planets of the Solar System: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
The twin probes are the longest-lasting space missions in human history and the only manmade objects to reach interstellar space.
Among other breakthroughs, they revealed volcanic activity on Jupiter's moon Io and discovered rings around the gas giant planets.
A signal from Voyager 1 now takes roughly one full day (or one light-day) to reach Earth.
