At San Diego Comic-Con 2006, which featured Marvel Studios' inaugural panel about their upcoming films, Feige was asked if the characters might eventually overlap. He responded by saying that one day they may add up and “equal the Avengers”—teasing what would become one of Hollywood’s biggest franchises.
