Johnny Putman was born with a congenital clubfoot, leading to chronic pain, mobility issues, and multiple surgeries. In 2015, Putman decided, against his doctors' advice, to pursue amputation.
He donated his leg to The Bone Museum and the skeletonized leg shows bone overgrowth, calcification, and structural collapse—underscoring the causes of his pain.
