Cancer is an umbrella term for over 200 different diseases, each with its own subtypes, genetic mutations, and behaviors.
This diversity means that a treatment effective for one cancer type or patient may be ineffective for others. Moreover, as tumors grow, their cells accumulate different mutations, creating subclones with unique characteristics.
