Stravinsky performed an original arrangement of the song at a 1944 performance with the Boston Symphony.
The next day, the Boston police commissioner visited his dressing room to warn him about a Massachusetts law against “tampering” with national property and said officers had been ordered to remove Stravinsky's version from the Symphony's music stands.
Stravinsky's arrangement has not been played since, as far as anyone knows.
