Additional insights we found via The Guardian

  1. Anxiety episodes around stressful events in childhood—like the first day of school—are not typically clinically concerning, and they're considered part of normal aging. Overwhelming worries that interfere with activities of daily life and persist for weeks or months may warrant follow-up with a doctor.

  2. Anxiety can be compounded by other physiological triggers, including hormonal fluctuations, such as those from perimenopause and menopause.

  3. Strategies to alleviate anxiety can include journaling, yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises. Certain medications may also be an option, coupled with cognitive behavioral therapy.
