The Beatles' 12th American LP, "Yesterday and Today," featured a strange, gruesome cover intended to mock the ridiculous things the band was subjected to as public figures.
The sleeves were printed but then recalled before hitting shelves, with a tamer band image pasted over the more disturbing one.
