  1. The Acropolis has stood for thousands of years and undergone myriad transformations through war and shifts in politics and culture. It served as a religious and ceremonial center for Greek citizens.

  2. Built in the 5th century BCE, the Parthenon continues to stand thanks to ongoing restoration efforts. It was dedicated to Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare.

  3. The Agora, situated at the base of the Acropolis, served as a marketplace and hub for civilian life for hundreds of years. Plato and Aristotle once shared their ideas at the Agora, and helped lay the foundation for Western philosophy and democracy.
