A black hole with the mass of the observable universe would be larger than the observable universe, leading some theorists to suggest that we may live inside a black hole.

Additional insights we found via Unexplainable

  1. For a large enough black hole, the tidal forces that would normally be much larger at one's feet versus at one's head would be negligible and cause no noticeable stretching, or spaghettification, upon falling in.

  2. Some models of a universe-sized black hole describe a calm interior environment within the stellar remnant, not unlike our observable universe, with the black holes we observe being other universes within our own.
