The world's largest computing grid combines about 1.4 million computer cores across 170 sites worldwide to help store, distribute, and analyze LHC data.
On average, the system runs over 2 million tasks per day, with global transfer rates exceeding 260 gigabytes per second.
The infrastructure provides processing power and near-real-time access to LHC data to over 12,000 physicists.
