Watch a server submerged in a fluid continue to run and stay cool by boiling the liquid away.

Additional insights we found via IEEE Spectrum

  1. In immersion cooling, a dielectric fluid with a boiling point near the operating temperature of computer chips naturally begins to boil, carrying thermal energy away from the chips in gas bubbles.

  2. The bubbles travel up to the condensing coils, where thermal energy is released as the gas condenses back into a liquid and drips back down to the immersion pool.

  3. The released thermal energy naturally rises away from the condenser, allowing servers to cool without noisy fans or fluid pumping.
