Findings

Additional insights we found via The Economist

  1. The automation afforded by AI tools, which can analyze and test computer code much faster than humans, has made finding critical bugs much easier, substantially increasing potential cybersecurity threats.

  2. Vulnerabilities can exist in foundational code that has not been revised in decades, such as one in the OpenBSD operating system that had existed for 27 years and was found by Anthropic's Claude Mythos.
